About ABWA

The American Business Women’s Association is a national organization that was created to support women’s success in the workplace to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition. ABWA connects with thousands of members throughout the U.S. – women representing all backgrounds, cultures, and professions and since its founding, ABWA has continued to reinvent itself to continue to give women what they need in a professional organization and to support each other in professional development and career advancement.

The American Business Women's Association (ABWA) has long been accepted as one of the leading business women's associations in the U.S. and its far-reaching influence has touched the lives and careers of so many. It's incredible to realize that it all began 75 years ago, when the term "business woman" was an oddity and an association dedicated to advancing women's careers was simply unheard of.

The Trendsetter Chapter, in Palm Desert was chartered in 1982 and is celebrating over 40 years.  Whether you are starting a new business or looking to advance your career, ABWA is the place to be for working women and women business owners who want to connect, to learn and to grow personally and professionally.  The general goal of each Chapter is to increase the business acumen of all members; to improve the earning power of its members; to advance members in a social, business, and educational way; and assist women in their community to better themselves through personal and professional development.
